In response to COVID-19 (also known as Coronavirus) and for the safety of our audiences, our community, performers, and staff, Riverside Center for the Performing Arts is amending the production schedule as detailed below effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020.

Our mainstage production of Steve Martin and Edie Brickell’s Bright Star originally scheduled to open on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 is re-scheduled to open on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 with a closing date to be determined.

Our Children’s Theatre production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Jr. originally scheduled to open on Thursday, April 2, 2020, has been postponed indefinitely. A new opening date will be announced in the future.

Our return engagement of Todd Meredith and the Rave-Ons originally scheduled for Sunday, April 19, 2020 has been cancelled. We are working with Todd and the Rave-Ons to have them return at a later date to be announced.

It is with a heavy heart that we must announce the delay of Season 23, and the cancellation of our production of Murder for Two originally scheduled to run from Wednesday, May 27 through Sunday, June 28, 2020. We recognize this affects season ticket holders and are working on a remedy.

The health and safety of our patrons, employees, and artists are of the utmost importance. This is a rapidly evolving situation and Riverside Center for the Performing Arts will monitor developments carefully and continuously adjust these decisions as required. We will continue to follow the guidance of local and state authorities and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Riverside Center Box Office associates will contact ticket holders for cancelled performances directly to discuss their options, including our flexible ticket exchange policy. However, due to anticipated call volumes, we ask for your patience as we address each and every case.

These are difficult and ever-changing times for theaters nationwide. In lieu of refunds, we would ask for your support and reschedule your tickets for a future performance.

Please check our website (riversidedt.com) or our Facebook page (facebook.com/riversidecenter) for updates.

**Please note that certain ads coming out this weekend were pre-printed and cannot be changed or pulled, and therefore will have incorrect information. Our website will feature the most current information at all times.

Thank you for your understanding, and please take all personal precautions for the health of your family, friends, and neighbors. We eagerly look forward to bringing Broadway’s Best to our audiences at the earliest appropriate time.

Sincerely,

Riverside Center for the Performing Arts Leadership & Staff
