Now a gold star on regional theatre circuits, “On Golden Pond” makes its first appearance at Riverside under the direction of Sherri Edelen.

Filled with sharp-witted one-liners that keep the audience laughing throughout, Riverside Center for the Performing Arts’ production of “On Golden Pond” is both delightful and deep.

It’s only appropriate that when “On Golden Pond” lands in Fredericksburg that a gold-star cast and crew come along with it.

Actress Joyce DeWitt—perhaps best known for portraying Janet Wood on the iconic sitcom “Three’s Company”—leads a stellar production at Riverside Center for the Performing Arts. The show owns the stage Wednesdays through Sundays through mid-November.

Veteran TV Actress Joyce DeWitt joins actor Joe Inscoe for Riverside Center For The Performing Arts’ latest offering, “On Golden Pond.”  Joyce, Joe, and Patrick A’Hearn, the Producing Artistic Director talked about the new stage play and what viewers can expect when the curtain rises on stage October 4th through November 19th.

The actress will star as Ethel Thayer in the play “On Golden Pond,” which opens at the Riverside Dinner Theater Oct. 4. The role was made famous by Katharine Hepburn, who played Ethel in the 1981 film. The play was written by Ernest Thompson, who also penned the screenplay.

Riverside Center proudly announces our upcoming production of On Gold Pond will feature Joyce Dewitt, from TV’s Three’s Company fame, as Ethel Thayer. Dewitt will be joined on the Riverside stage by television, movie, and theatre actor, Joe Inscoe in the role of Norman Thayer. 

*John Davidson, originally cast in the role of Norman Thayer, will not be appearing in our production as he has joined the cast of the Finding Neverland national tour. We wish John all the best.
