Louis May Alcott’s beloved 1868 novel “Little Women” has been adapted for film and television many times. The story follows the March sisters—Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy—as they navigate the challenges of growing up, facing love, loss, and the pressures of society in Civil War-era New England.

In a chapter appropriately entitled “Burdens” in Louisa May Alcott’s “Little Women,” sisters Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy March are determined “Rich or poor, we will keep together and be happy in one another.”

Audiences are stepping back in time with the March sisters in Little Women: The Broadway Musical at the Riverside Center for the Performing Arts, where four talented performers are bringing Louisa May Alcott’s beloved story of family, ambition, and resilience to vivid life amid the backdrop of the Civil War era.
