One of Hollywood’s most explosive movies bursts on the live stage as a full-fledged musical. Teenager Ren McCormack and his mom
relocate from Chicago to a small rural town where the local law prohibits rock music and dancing. Pioneered by the Reverend Shaw
Moore, the ban is a misguided attempt to honor the victims of a deadly after-party car accident, but instead it keeps alive a
painful memory. A touching story ensues, focusing on a boy who longs for the father who has deserted him and a man aching for the
son he’s lost. Filled with high-energy dancing propelled by the non-stop rocking rhythms of an Oscar-nominated Top 40 score and
featuring the songs Let’s Hear It for the Boy, Almost Paradise, Holding Out for a Hero, The Girl Gets Around, and I’m Free, this
is a musical event your entire family will want to experience!
