Brian Baker

Brian is Principle and Owner of Pitch Venture Holdings, an asset management company, and the Managing Member of Advanced Athlete Development, a scholar-athlete college preparation organization. He is also the assistant Field Hockey Coach for Spotsylvania High School and the Head Coach for Typhoon Elite Field Hockey Club. He is a former Executive Director at the University of Mary Washington’s Center for Economic Development and Adjunct Professor at the UMW College of Business.

Brian is on the Board of Directors for the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce; Board Chair for the Rappahannock Economic Development Corporation; and an entrepreneur mentor for the Mentor Capital Network (2013-present). He earned a BA in Economics and a MBA in Management from Mary Washington College. He was awarded the 2020 Prince B. Woodard Leadership Award for lifetime service and commitment to business and the regional economy. He was nominated by students in 2019 as a University of Mary Washington Giving Tree faculty member.

He and his wife Erma have been married 39 years, have two daughters Libby and Mary Wallace, and live in Fredericksburg where they enjoy time exploring fine art, performing arts, fine dining, and adventures with their grandson Kyle.
